1 Thessalonians 5:18

Tell someone you love them. Sometimes people just need to know that you love them. How do you show love to the people God has placed in your life? One's intentions don't change the impact - people need to hear that they are loved and feel loved. Tell someone you love them today, and show it.

How also do you show God that you love Him? Are you thankful? Before you ask God for anything, be thankful for everything. Even when things don't look good, we need to say "thank you" to the Lord, God Almighty who has given you everything that you have.

The Bible says that "He inhabits the praised of His people". God wants us to tell people what God has done in our lives. How will you share with others the ways God has been a blessing to you?

Read Hebrews 13:5 - "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Even if things are difficult, God never leaves us. He is with us in everything, so we ought to tell people about it. He is with us.

Thankfulness can easily be overlooked and we forget our gratitude. The Bible teaches us that thankfulness is a powerful way to HONOR God. When we thank God, it brings Him honor. Being thankful is more than just a polite response, it is a way of life that transforms us.

Thank God. God shows up everyday, so we ought to thank Him everyday. The Bible repeatedly calls us to thankfulness in all circumstances, central to scripture, showing us how gratitude relates to our relationship with God.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

Thankfulness isn't dependent on our situation or feelings. Gratitude allows us to focus on God's presence and promise even when life is challenging.

Luke 17:11-19 Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!” When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed. One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”

How do you see God? These men called Jesus "Master" because they acknowledged who He was.  Then before they even got to the place that he told them, they were cleaned. "As they went" they were made clean because they obeyed God and they trusted His power. Sometimes your obedience leads to your breakthrough. How are you obeying and trusting God on the way to where He has called you?

Will you thank God? Only one came back to praise God despite His healing work on all their lives. 1/10 came back, praising God in a loud voice. Are you praising God in your heart? Are you truly thankful for all that he has done for you? Do you know what He has done for you?
