There's nothing wrong with money. We need money. It is an essential part of life, but it can become a stumbling block if we don't handle it rightly. As Christians, we look at money differently.

1. We see that God supplies it all.

Philippians 4:19 "But my God shall supply  all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

God will supply ALL your needs, so you can trust Him - HE WILL NOT LEAVE YOU. God is there when you need Him - always.

2. So we can trust God with it all.

2 Samuel 24:1-4 - David started relying on the numbers instead of the Lord. God never told David to count the people. When you count the numbers, they could be deceiving. God is more than enough.

When you make sacrifices and disregard yourself to give towards the needs of God's kingdom, you will be blessed. Trust God with what you have.

3. We don't need to hoard or be afraid. It is a blessing to give God all the time that he requires of us. Be warned - careful not to give your time more to the things of this world than the things of God. Don't forsake being in the presence of the Lord to earn money. This is how you rely on yourself instead of the Lord. Be careful not to try to keep what you have to seek happiness. Your happiness is NOT dependent on your financial status, but on your relationship with God.

4. We can give and invest in generational wealth.

Proverbs 13:22 "A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just."

We have to be careful with what we have and how we use it and to whom we entrust it. Remember to pay your bills and to pay your taxes and GIVE TO GOD. "Give to Cesar what is Cesar's and to God what is God's."

5. We can give God everything. [Read Malachi 3:8-10]  You should be giving God your best. If you think tithing is not a part of the new testatment, well the new testament tells us to give EVERYTHING.

God will bless you to be able to do what you need if you do the right thing. You do not have all the time in the world to do anything you want. Money was never made for you to worry about to the point that you are counting and sweating. It is a tool God gave you to do different things with for His glory.

6. Money is an essential part of life but it can easily become a stumbling block - the Bible provides clear direction for how to use money.

  1. Stewardship - What has been given to me is not mine; I am supposed to use it rightly and if I show that He can trust me with it, then He will compound it. Then there will be more than enough. In what ways do you steward your funds?
  2. Money CANNOT be your master, it is a tool. If you can't get things that you need or want, how do you respond? When you save money, you will have what you need when you need it. Are you saving money wisely?  Some people will save but not spend because they're fearful that it won't be replenished. Are you trusting God in spending your finances wisely?

7. But we know God is the ONE true master?

Matthew 6:24 - "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

God wants us to love Him. Who wouldn't love the one who created ALL things and can provide ALL things for your good.

8. We don't need to fear. We can trust God with everything!

1 Peter 5:7 "casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you."

We have to trust God with everthing. He will give us all that we need now.
