2 Corinthians 1:20

2 Corinthians 1:20

"For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us." (KJV)

"Everything that God has promised becomes 'Yes' because of Christ. That is why, by Christ, we can thank God. By him, we can agree that all God's promises are true. And we can say how very great and good God is." (EE)

Everything in Christ belongs to you and me. So what is in Him? We must have revelation of what this is to know how to receive it. To have a revelation from God, we have to know the sound of His voice.

Q. How is your relationship with God? Is it of utmost importance to you?

Deuteronomy 28:12 "The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow."

Galatians 3:28, 29 "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."

Actions: "Things" shouldn't change you. "Money" shouldn't shape your identity. It should only change HOW you spend, but not who you are and how you live.

Facts about work: We all belong to God and were given everything we need in order to work so that we might have. We are not entitled money without labor. We were called to work and called to be a blessing. God might want to do something through your faithful work.

Feelings about work: Work might feel like a struggle, but you don't have to struggle all the time. Struggling provides an opportunity to learn how to appreciate the blessings of the Lord and give Him glory.

So what do we believe?

"Every promise God has made throughout scripture is trustworthy and dependable. They find their "yes and amen" in Him, Jesus. Jesus is the ultimate yes. Through Jesus, the promised of God are confirmed and realized. That's why it's through Him that we utter our "Amen".

If God said it, all we have to do is agree, saying "Amen, God".

"Amen" is an affirmation of truth, meaning "so be it" or "it's true".
