Guest Speaker, Elder Lynn Tucker, shared seven of her favorite verses with us today.

What's your favorite Bible verse?

1. Genesis 2:22 in summary says "I'm created... by God... from the rib of a man."

God used a rib from a man to create the woman. God made both male and woman. A "rib-woman" is a protective woman. Ribs protect your organs and insides. I'm a protective person as part of my identity.

Do you know your identity?

-------------------------------

2. Romans 12:1 "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."

We should have a character of holiness. It's not about what other people think, but what God thinks of you. Never allow your character to be compromised.

What is your character?

-------------------------------

3. Leviticus 17:11 "For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh and atonement for the soul."

The blood of Jesus gives us life and purpose. God knew that we would sin before we did it and still He made a way to be restored through Jesus' blood.

Have you trusted in the saving blood of Jesus?

----------------------------

4. Luke 8:46 "And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me."

The woman reached out and touch Jesus to get her healing. She didn't wait in the background. She sought out the presence of God. Do you know who you are and how God designed you? Then you should know that He is the one who can heal you and save you and set you free!

Are you waiting to be offered healing or are you going into the presence of God, desperately reaching out to God?

-------------------------------------

5. Psalm 138: 8 "The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands."

God will do what He said He would do and perfect whatever concerns you in His timing.

What are you concerned about today?

-------------------------------------------------

6. Psalm 27:14 "Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD."

We've all been discouraged before but you can only be discouraged for so long before your character begins to change. Either you will get up and rise or you will sink and drown.

Where are you discouraged? Where can you find encouragement?

--------------------------------------

7. Isaiah 54:17 "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD."

Many weapons will come BUT none of these weapons can prosper! Instead, He will perfect that which conerns me.

We all are facing things, but do you know the truth in the Word?

---------------------------------

God spoke a word and that Word protects you.

How do you know the Word? How do you heed to the Word? How do you know the LORD if you don't read His Words? How do you grow in God and in grace without readin the Word?
