Fact: One can grow naturally, spiritually, and physically, but it's a process.
First, we have to identify our starting point and then set goals to reach and move forward. Don't focus on the past, let that be an experience of what not to do. God will guide you on what to do and who to listen to if you're chasing after Him.
Then: When you are growing, you are increasing: You will become greater and greater over time if you continue to learn and prioritize God.
- What experiences are you learning from right now?
- In what ways can you better prioritize your relationship with God this week?
- What or who could be jeopordizing your relationship with God?
To grow, we need:
- An Active Prayer Life (Philippians 4:6-7; Hebrews 13:5; 1 Thessalonians 5:17) We can ask God for everything we need. When your relationship with God is right, you can ask Him for anything without shame and thank Him. He wants to do great things in your life.
- Develop a Habit of Meditating on the Word (Joshua 1:8; Matthew 5:6) Don't start to listen to God when it's too late. Success can be found when we are in the Word. Make it a habit to thirst and hunger for God.
- Live Obediently (John 14:15; James 1:22) Follow God's commandments and adjust to His will for your life. If you love the Lord, then you live to please Him. If we love Him more than anything, then we will share Him with others. Be about the Father's business. Love God and Love people.
Finally, in the midst of pain and dark times, we live in thanksgiving. When you love the Lord, you thank the Lord and live in gratitude. Stand up and say THANK YOU.
